The road to Golgotha wasn’t clean—it was loud, violent, and full of people colliding with Jesus in real time. A guilty man walks free. A random man gets pulled into carrying a cross. A dying criminal finds paradise with his last breath. This isn’t distant theology—it’s substitution, judgment, mercy, and grace happening in the street. And it forces the question: when the altar passes through your pit… what do you do with it?
The Historical Jesus and the Hardcore Kid
After this week’s heavier reflections, I wanted to return to theology. As someone who came from the hardcore scene and eventually pursued graduate Pentecostal studies, the question of the historical Jesus mattered deeply to me. If Jesus was only a symbol, faith wouldn’t be worth my life. But if the story is rooted in history, then everything changes.
